Established in 1994, the National Fairground Archive is a collection of recognised importance. Housed in the Western Bank Library, it is a unique collection of photographic, printed, manuscript and audiovisual material covering all aspects of the culture of travelling showpeople, their organisation as a community, their social history and everyday life; and the artefacts and machinery of fairgrounds.
NFA Digital is our free resource for users to discover the depth and diversity of our collections at the click of a button. We are adding material every week, working through our vast image collections and multi-faceted ephemera. Users are encouraged to leave feedback, tags and ratings.
